Default Sued Personally And As A DBA

I was recently served both as myself and as my DBA name. I am preparing an response extension for myself, but I am told that my DBA requires a lawyer to respond? Do I have to have a lawyer to represent ME as a DBA seperately?

If you're not incorporated, you should not need a lawyer to appear as a d/b/a. A d/b/a ("doing business as") is just a fictitious business name.
