I live in Missouri and have old medical bills from 1999. I am now remarried and was wondering if my husband can have his wages garrnished from my past bills.Also is it possible that it is even to late for them to sue?

The time limit for suing on this kind of bill is ten years.

Your husband, unless he agreed to, is not liable for your bills UNLESS you all were married at the time of the medical help AND the court decided that it was a necessary.

An overview of Missouri's statutes of limitation. If this is an action upon a writing for the payment of money, the statute of limitations is 10 years. (MRS § 516.110). Otherwise the five year period of MRS § 516.120 applies.

I agree that the SOL in Mo. is 10 years for medical bills - normally considered a written contract.
