    Default Sole Proprietorship but Married

I would like help determining if I can list my wife as an owner of my bussiness, even though I am registered as a Sole proprietorship. I would like to take advantage of the "woman" owned company status if that is possible. I beleive I have read about a "unity of marriage" provision recognized by certain states?

Good question. What I mean to say is can I leagally list myself as a woman owned business because I'm married? She is fianancially responsible for the loan as a co-signer.
