Default What are my bankruptcy options?

I have over $6000 worth of debt. It started when I loss my job two years ago and I have not had any luck finding work since. I am pathetically broke and I mean completely broke ($0). If it wasn't for the person I'm living with now I would be living on the streets. I don't have a penny to pay any of my debts or to pay for anything else. What can I do as far as bankruptcy?

    Default Bankruptcy

If you only have $6,000 in debt, you may wish to consider finding a job - any job - and paying it off. Since you are presently being supported, even at minimum wage you could pay that off in considerably less than a year. If you declare bankruptcy, it will appear on your credit history for many years to come, and may also further affect your job prospects.

If you want to declare bankruptcy, and don't want to use a lawyer, you can get the necessary forms from the bankruptcy court, and can apply for a waiver of the filing fee on the basis of indigency.
