Slander and Stalking Order

I was recently slapped with a stalking suit – but I did not stalk anyone!. Also, a slander suit will shortly follow. The case concerns my purchase of a dog at a “puppy mill”. About two months after I purchased the dog – the dog died! I am not allowed to talk to the puppy mill owner. I am not allowed to come near the puppy mill. Can I directly speak to anyone else about this situation? Such as: Humane Societies, ASPCA, Animal Rights, Newspapers, Investigation Teams
(I-Teams), etc. Or, am I bound by the courts not to “whistle blow” on the puppy mill and its’ apparent poor treatment of puppies and the alleged diseases that I (and my vet) believe are present there? PLEASE HELP. I live in the state of Georgia.

Well... don't get PETA involved.

It turns out they euthanize 90%+ of all animals they receive. (compared to ~20% at county animal shelters). (This figure is from their 2005 statistics but AFAIK, they haven't improved).

How do you know it's a puppy mill and not a "backyard breeder?" How many times did you approach them about the issue before they issued the stalking suit?

As far as "whistleblower" protection: this seems to apply to employer/employee relationships most of the time. There are many examples here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whistleblower

What state are you in? Perhaps we could help you find relevant animal welfare laws?
