    Default Effect of a Pardon

I live in new jersey and in 1988 I was arrested and convicted in 1991 for cds and intent, I'm finding out now I can't have an expungement. It was a day after my 18th birthday I was young and dumb. I'm now 37 years old, I'm a manager for a pretty big beer dist. but I can't get rid this conviction, it really is holding me back from growing more in my company. Anyway my question is does a pardon change anything? Is it worth looking into and if I do get one can the charge be sealed in any way? Thanks.

A New Jersey pardon would restore your civil rights, to the effect that you still suffer restriction, and would make you eligible for expungement.
