Stressed over credit debt
I talked to someone from the CCDN and they claim to be able to eliminate your credit card debt and restore your credit rating by filing suit against the credit card companies on your behalf. Is this legitimate and can it be done?
Also, if I am sued by a credit card company can they take a lein out on our house if the house is not in my name? and the card is in my name. What property is exempt in NC? I have tried more than one time to work out a plan with this company, they do not want to work with me.

Re: Stressed over credit debt
Hi-
I am in a similar problem so I am very interested in this. I also live in NC with lots of Credit card debt due to ex (long story). I can say that Liens on property will happen after they sue and receive a judgement. If the property is not in your name, then guess what? They cannot lien something that you do not own!! I am not so lucky, so I am trying to pay... Beware of Credit repair scams!!! Yu can do most of what they calim to do for you. They probably just want your Money..

Somebody promising to file lawsuits which will clean up your credit, but who has not reviewed anything about your credit history or the validity of any legal claims, is at best highly unethical and is most likely scamming you.

The exemptions are summarized in this statute (NCGS § 1C?1601). There may be other applicable statutes.

I have a credit card in my name. Our house loan is in my husband's name. If my credit card company sues me, can they take a lein on the house when it is not in my name?

Re: Stressed over credit debt
The house loan is not relevant. The house title is what is relevant.

If a credit card company sues you and you have a house and a mobile home in your name. Will a lein be put on both or just one property?
Will the lein come off when the judgement does (from credit report) or does it remain?

Who's name is the title in?
If you were the credit card company, what would you put the lien against?

Re: Stressed over credit debt
My husband and I are are/were clients of the CCDN Robert Lock, Phil Manger, Tracy Webster group and I would strongly advise you not to get involved with this CCDN group as it is a sham and a scam. They do not provide the resources and work they state they do, they keep changing the rules of the process with NO communication, the results are judgments. This is not just unique to me but I have found many others.....just the tip of the iceberg.....to whom the same things are happening. The concept of a program like this could work and would perhaps work given a well managed, expertly handled business but this is not what you get with the CCDN. You can google CCDN debt scam or CCDN Robert Lock and find all kinds of posts in regards to this. Just a heads up, a buyer beware if you will as our group is trying to prevent further injury to others seeking debt relief help
