Default Credit card help
I am past due on my credit card payments. I have tried numerous times to work with them and get them to help me. I am getting nowhere with them. If they sue me, can they take a lien on my house, it is not in my name, it is in my husband's name. the card is in my name.
Also, is it illegal for a credit card company to raise your credit limit without written or verbal asking?
If they try to sue me, can they take personal property, such as furniture, etc? what is exempt?

They can raise your credit limit without asking. They will lower it if you request. You don't have to charge a cent if you don't want to.

Exemptions from collection are different for each state.

What are exemptions for NC.

Also, I talked with someone from the CCDN, they claim they can fight the credit card companies for you and eliminate your debt and restore your credit. Is this legal and legitimate? I do not want to be sued, I am trying to work with this company, but they do not seem to be willing to help me. I cannot afford the late fees and penalties and high interest.
The card is in my name, if they sue, can they take a lein on our house, the house is not in my name. I am at my wits end and I am tired of trying to work with these people.
