Default Assignment of Petition to WCJ
Alright Im an injured PA worker and got hurt back in 2004. I hurt my back and since been going through seeing many doctors. I had therapy, chiro, traction, 6 different injections, 2 discograms, 1 surgery consult, and an FCE evaluation of what I can and cant do. Between seeing different doctors my restrictions for the first year+ changed on a biweekly basis. After the doctors relized the treatments werent working I had my FCE which is my current restrictions for almost a year. I am now seeing a new doctor at the referal of my lawyer, since the last 2 facilities ran out of options(in there words). Now my new doctor tried some injections aswell and is now at a stand still too. Well today I get a letter in the mail that says Assignment of Petition on WCJ, petition to modify compensation. I was wondering if anyone went through this and can just give me some ideas of the process. I talked to my lawyer and he explained it but still confused.

From that it would appear that somebody, presumably your employer, has petitioned to have a workers compensation judge review your case to modify the compensation you receive.
