I received a letter from a company by the name of National Arbitration Forum regarding a debt that i owe to MBNA. They claim that they awarded Wolpoff & Abramson the amount due. First of all the letter went to an ex boyfriends mothers house as i lived there back in 2003. I do not know who this company is. The last payment made to MBNA was on 3/2001. Can you tell me anything about this company, Also what can I do at this point.

On another note if you receive a summons and you do not reply does that automatically result in a judgement ( this has nothing to do with the above issue) ?

A: There is nothing automatic in the law. But, in the above scenario, there will probably be a default judgment entered against you.
