PLEASE SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT MY SITUATION, THANKS YOU.
I currently have 3 convictions on my criminal record that I have already officially expunged. They are Section 12500, Section 14601a. Both convictions are for driving without a valid driver's license. The third and most recent (2 1/2 years ago) was for Penal Code 484a, which is for petty theft.
I am 26 years old and have never had to go to jail for anything in my life and I was never even fingerprinted for these convictions, but I do know that despite an FBI Fingerprint background check, these convictions still come up using my social security number.
I completely understand that there is Absolutely No Way to get rid of these charges on my criminal record and the best thing to do on an application for a job, no matter how depressing it has been, is to disclose the expunged convictions. My question is what is the best way to explain these expunged convictions on a job application after I select that YES I have been convicted of a crime?
How should I write it out and briefly explain the conviction and how it has been expunged without divulging too much information?
ANY THOUGHTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANK YOU AGAIN
