Default Dating younger girls
Hi, I am 20, soon to be 21 years old. I want to hook up and date this girl thats 17. As far as i know, i gotta be careful until shes 18, otherwise i could get a stat. rape charge. Other than sex with her, is there anything i could potentially get into trouble for, and is there really anything other than her age thats wrong with me dating her?

o, and i live in New York State

You dont have to have sex with her to get in trouble just heavey petting (fondling) or even non penis penetration or oral sex could get sex charges put on you. Other issue is parents if parents donot wish their child to see you they can legally block it! You have no buisiness dating a teenager! Find a woman your age or at least legal!

I agree but I was removing any justification that might be used. Similar to Pres. Clinton's claim he did not have sex with that woman!

Although I hate to admit this, the age of consent in NY is 17 so if he does have sex with her, the act alone would not be a crime. However, if the girl's parents do not approve of their "relationship", they can file other charges against him.

I was just in the police station being questioned ( dont ask) but my point is that I heard directly from a police officer that there is no difference between fingering oral ect......... and actual sexual intercourse if your worried about criminal sexual conduct.... i live in michigan but i'm pretty sure the law is the same....
crazy.... but yeah..... age of consent and she can consent to anything... below that and it is statitory rape
