Default Juvenile Delinquency
My 15 year old grandaughter was charged with Juvenile Delinquency. She was at a party where underage kids were drinking. She doesnot drink. However, because she was at a party where underage drinking went on, she was so charged by police. She lives in the State of New Jersey. What could be the best or worse case scenario for this charge ? Will she have a record if found guilty?

Default Re: Juvenile Delinquency
The truly worst case scenario? She's adjudicated delinquent and remanded to state custody until she's an adult. Realistically? She may not even be adjudicated delinquent - the charge may be "benched" while she completes some informal probation. If she's adjudicated delinquent she will have a juvenile criminal record.
