Reckless driving in Virginia

I need advise on what action to take after I have been charge with reckless driving.

I was failed to yield on GREEN when I was turning left and bump into the car that was driving on the main road. No one was hurt. The other driver was very clam, he told me that accident happens everyday, he was glad nobody was hurt.

I would like to have some free legal advise, where can I search for them?
What can I do to reduce or dismiss my ticket? Do I need a lawyer? How much would cost on this case?

Reckless driving is a six point ticket in VA and a mandatory court appearance. Expect to pay an attorney about 500 and he should be able to get the ticket reduced without you having to appear. Your other option is to show on your court date and try to negotiate for a reduction on your own. Take a certified copy of your driving record and be sure you have all 5 safe driving points.
