He's charged with five felonies and he doesn't yet have a criminal defense lawyer?
We are not financially able to hire an attorney for him and he has spoken with the Public defender she is supposed to be handling it for him since we can't afford anyone, we just received a notice in the mail for his date to enter a plea. They only sent it for one offense Aggravated assault. Does this mean that the other things have been dropped or do they bring you in for each seperate charge? Any advice? Also if they never found the weapon and there was no victims how are they still able to charge him?
To find out the status of the other charges, either investigate with the court or ask his lawyer.
I don't know anything about his charges, so I can't speculate on what evidence the prosecutor may or may not need.
