Default Theft by Conversion in Georgia

My husband shipped an ATV to a "friend" in Las Vegas with the impression that the "friend" would be paying him the following month when he sold his motorcycle. Well, that was back in March 2006, and now the "friend" will not return phone calls.

We still have the title to the ATV but no bill of sale or written contract. Do we have any grounds to file charges?:

This sounds like a civil suit.

Did the friend sell his motorcycle the following month?
(Do you see the problem with the agreement your husband had with the "friend"?)

This is not a criminal matter.

Your husband needs to sue "friend" in small claims court.
