Default Are There Exceptions to Passport Suspension for Military Spouses

My question involves child support in the State of: Ohio

    Hello,

I have a few questions. 1. Are there any passport exceptions for child support arrearages if you are married to a service member, and that service member is stationed overseas are there any exceptions that the state of WA may grant so that the non-custodial parent may accompany their spouse overseas?

    2. Is there a statute of limitations for the state of Washington? If so, how many years after the child turns 18 does it start?
    3. If there is a statute of limitations, does the NCP have to file any paperwork for it, or does it happen automatically?

Thank you for any assistance in this matter.

Your passport will stay suspended until the CS agency releases it. That will be when you pay them enough of the arrears for them to agree. As you may stay out of the country permanently, I would expect that to be all arrears. In fact, they might require you go in front of a judge to get an order releasing it with a bond posting as an assurance you return or to cover all future support arrears.

For child support orders that were entered after July 23, 1989, support orders may be enforced for up to ten years after the date the youngest child named in the order turns eighteen.
