    Default Missed Court Date

When I was 16 I used my school metrocard on Presidents Day and I received a 60 dollars summons. I never paid the summons and that was almost five years ago. I was too scared to tell anyone because I was so young. I am now 21 years old, I've never been in trouble and I want to resolve this issue because I don't want to go to jail. I live in NYC and I don't want this to linger on any longer.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Default Missed Court Date

You can contact the court to which you were ordered to appear, and inquire as to the status of the file. They should be able to tell you if there remains a pending bench warrant, and the steps you can take to resolve it.
