I work for a home medical equipment company in oklahoma. I refill liquid oygen tanks at private homes and nursing centers. In the process of my deliveries I move 158-170 pound tanks in and out of the home. I have injured my hip but cannot point to a specific instance when I might have done it. I thought at first it was arthritis but after a doctor visit I think it might be a pinched nerve. What is the process in determining if it is a job related injury, who gets to say?
Your doctors will try to determine causation - that's a medical, not a legal, question. If your doctor says it's work-related, the comp carrier may try to dispute that with its own doctors.
