Default Missouri Collector's Deed for Taxes
I bought this property in 92, have had a Collector's Deed since 96, need to know how to get a regular deed or a quit claim deed. I am now trying to sell it, it does not have much value as it is two acres in a rural area with no buildings, I am told it will cost about $2000 to get a quit claim deed in order to sell it ( property is not much higher in value). I believe there is only a year for redemption period. What options do I have, is there a more economical way for a title?

You must either get a quit claim deed from whoever lost it in the tax sale or have a quiet title lawsuit.

Collectors' deeds in Missouri are worthless.
