    Default Second DUI in Washington

I just recieved my 2nd DUI in WA. My first was put on Deffered prosecution, I entered into a pretrial diversion agreement which now has a motion to revoke, this one I blew a .085 at the station.
I know that it is not thier job to worry about that will happen to me in the future but I am supposed to get out of the military in 6 months. If convicted I cannot re-enlist, and if i cant drive when I get out I am scewed..... What are my options?
Is there a chance that it can be dropped down to a 1st offense and keep my PDA from the first one? I'm so lost. I have 3 kids to take care of....I have swore off drinking its just not worth it, nothing good has came of it. I can't afford anything but a public defender

Find a way to get a good lawyer. The stakes are high enough to justify some sacrifice here.

At a bare minimum, get some serious treatment for your alcoholism, and get into AA. Don't count on your "swearing off drinking" being believed by the court, and don't underestimate how hard it will actually be to swear off drinking.

You'll live through jail time. It might suck, but at least it will keep you from drunk driving. Not bashing you, but your situation helps me!

Alcoholism is a disease that can be treated with the proper medication! AA meetings, 12 Steps, and the willingness to do "whatever it takes" to stay sober just one day at a time. It will only get worse without treatment.

I am saying this because you sound like I did after repeatedly driving drunk!!
All I was worried about was staying out of jail and losing my license. I had money and was willing to buy myself another chance for freedom. The cops were idiots, I watched over my shoulder cause they were EVERYWHERE!!!

I have been arrested for 5 drinking convictions in my lifetime, 1st & 2nd were at age 21, (over 20 years ago.) 3rd was in 2001, 4th was in 2004 and was dismissed, 5th was in June of this year charged w/OWI 2nd. Accepted Plea Bargain and plead guilty to "OWI----1ST offense" my sentence date is in 2 weeks. I'm afraid, angry, guilty, and thats okay. I am grateful!! I had to experience RELAPSE for myself,, and its true.

I was a recovering addict, for a good long period of time. As long as I treated my disease, worked my program, kept things simple, took "SUGGESTION" amd made the decision to stay sober, just for the next 24 hrs, 1 day at a time!! Life was "OKAY" I was back in control!!
I finally had my sh*t together and knew I was cured!!!! "I was Educated and Knowledgeable" time to graduate,

Things were good for awhile and then...my decision to test...ONE DRINK!!! 2,

7.shot of tequilla, and one more for the road, and I'm gone!
    SEE THE DOWNHILL EFFECT?
Arrested for OWI!! My main concern is not sitting in jail!! It's staying sober!!!

Today, I have 3 choices..incarceration..death.or.RECOVERY! Only I can make that choice. Good Luck to you! Learn something about choices!
