    Default Locating Someone

If I need to find someone and know their name and city where they live, what's the best method?

Did you check to see if they have a listed phone number?

If it's me, good luck! I don't have a phone.

You can try various sources of public records, such as property tax records, voter registration records, etc., to try to find the person. You can check the county's and city's websites, as they may have some records online. You can use more than one online phonebook (e.g., these) as some will contain information that others omit. You can also use any number of online commercial services to try to track the person down, including KnowX and Intelius. Sometimes you can get results just by googling somebody's name. You can also hire a private investigator to find the person for you.

Check voter registration records or county tax assessor office using a name search that might give you info that you can use to obtain the phone number. For example, if you have the address find the number associated with that address through the internet or other investigative methods.
