Disorderly Conduct in the 2nd in Connecticut
The Story;
This guy I met at ( AA) supposed to be my (friend) turned out to be a manic! We started talking and became very good friends...but then we argued and i told him to leave my house, by then he started threating me, pushing me and restraining me. So i said i will call the cops...then he got scared and i pushed him out the door and i closed the door on him then quickly locked all the doors n windows...then he got so mad and broke my bedroom window. So i went to the police station that night they wrote a report and he has a couple of charges pending from that.
BUT
yesterday I did something so stuuupid, i let him in my house again...he talked me into trusting him againl..i can't believe that i did that! AND again things escalated the same way...he was very drunk, then i had to go to my class that i could not miss, so he got in the car and while i was driving pulled off the keys from the ignition ..i started yelling ands creaming hellllppp me somebody help meee to get him off my car...i really scratched him bad...and punched him b/c he would not leave!
so then i finally got to the police station and i saw an officer inthe street pulled him and so i got charged with
Disorderly conduct in the second for scratching him and punching him.
My question is , how bad is this going to get, am I facing jail time for this?

What is the statute code you are being charged with?

Re: Disorderly Conduct in the 2nd in Connecticut
I believe that is an "a" and not a "9"....
From Connecticut statutes:
|
Quote:
|
|
Sec. 53a-182. Disorderly conduct: Class C misdemeanor. (a) A person is guilty of disorderly conduct when, with intent to cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, or recklessly creating a risk thereof, such person: (1) Engages in fighting or in violent, tumultuous or threatening behavior; or (2) by offensive or disorderly conduct, annoys or interferes with another person; or (3) makes unreasonable noise; or (4) without lawful authority, disturbs any lawful assembly or meeting of persons; or (5) obstructs vehicular or pedestrian traffic; or (6) congregates with other persons in a public place and refuses to comply with a reasonable official request or order to disperse; or (7) commits simple trespass, as provided in section 53a-110a, and observes, in other than a casual or cursory manner, another person (A) without the knowledge or consent of such other person, (B) while such other person is inside a dwelling, as defined in section 53a-100, and not in plain view, and (C) under circumstances where such other person has a reasonable expectation of privacy.
(b) Disorderly conduct is a class C misdemeanor.

Class C misdemeanor is punishable up to 3 months in jail and/or up to $500 fine.
Although it is possible to get jail time, depending on your record.....
However, if this is your first offense, you probably would end up with probation, community service, fines....
It wouldn't be a bad idea to consult with a criminal defense attorney.
