Default Being sued after car repossession

My car was repossessed at the beginning of this year. I tried making a payment arrangement with the creditor, but failed to follow through with the payments because I had to take a medical leave of absence. Now, I received a letter from the bank's attorney. They want to sue, I called them and they want me to pay in full, $3500. I don't have this money in full. What happens from here if I don't have the money? If sued, will they go after my taxes or have my wages garnished?

If you don't pay, they can sue you. The limitations on what funds or assets they can seek to collect a judgment will vary by state, but you should assume that they will go after anything they can legally access in order to get their money.
