Caught Shoplifting at Target

Ok, so Im a 20 year old guy from Ohio, and Ive never felt like such a wus in my life. I recently got caught shoplifting from a local Target. It was a total of 68 dollars for 2 video games. And my friends total was 105. I feel so stupid having done it now, but guess you cant take back the past. Anyways, I reviewed all the posts in this forum but didnt find anything close to my story, so here goes...
We walked into Target in the middle of the afternoon, after slicing open a few games and putting them in our pockets we proceeded to leave. We were stopped by the head of security there and he brought us into a back office. We were told to empty our pockets and the cops were called. He took down our information and then so did the cop when he got there. We went in the cop car with him to the other side of the parking lot (away from the customers to avoid embarassment i think). He took the info down in the car again, and said we'd receive something in the mail.
He also said we would have to be photo'd & printed in the next few days.
What Im wondering is, what we're receiving in the mail, what to expect at the court appearance whenever it is, possible penalties for the "Summary", and if it will go on our record. If it does, does it effect future employment?
Any help would be great, because frankly Im scared out of my mind. Thanks!
