How long will a divorce take?

If I got married in NC and i got diviorce papers in FL sent them to my wife and she never signed them what should I do? But then she FIles for Divorce in TX, and never sends me the papers........ How long do i have to wait? what can I do to get this divorce done with. we have no strings attached everything was in my name and we never lived together... no kids nothing.... I just want it to be over.

If you filed first in FL did you ever file the proof of service when she got the divorce papers? Have you responded to the TX divorce papers? You have never lived together??? Community property laws are different in FL & TX Fl is an equitable distribution state, TX is a community property state. Exactly what form of divorce did each of you file?

it seems the best thing for you to do is to get into direct contact with the woman you are trying to be divorced from. you cannot get this done without communicating with each other.
