I'm 5 months into a 1-year misdemeanor probation. My professional career might be taking me to another company which requires travel. This company is sending me to their out-of-state corporate headquarters on the 18th for the final interview.
How should I approach this with my probation officer? I'm am going to inform him about the interview and ask permission to travel to attend, but how would I approach the fact that, if I do get the job, reporting may be an issue (and a violation of probation which I will NOT entertain)? Should I hire an attorney to petition the courts for a non-reporting probation?
Any guidance would be appreciated.
