    Default Speeding Ticket While On Vacation

    carlsbad new mexico i received a 75 in a 55 speeding ticket[ in a rental car] on radar 3 cars on my butt question is should i fight or pay? my cdl license has 1 other ticket currently anyone had any experience in new mexico?

    If your livelihood depends on having a valid CDL then you might consider fighting it.

    Unless your previous ticket was for an offense considerably more serious than the one you're now charged with (or you have other problems), you're not going to stand a chance of losing your license in California.

    I doubt you'll find much salvation in fighting it...and, yes, it will be reported to the California DMV. I'd suggest you pay it promptly and try to avoid future problems...(which could jeapordize your driving privileges).

    CDL also means Commercial Drivers License, since OP uses OHIO as a part of their name, there is a possibility they do not hold a California DL.

    Californians often make that assumption re a CDL, it is natural.

    A 15+ ticket is a serious CDL violation. If the other ticket was also serious, your license will be suspended. In any event it could cost you your job depending on the policy at your company. It does not matter that you were not in a truck. This will also increase your personal auto insurance rates. Hire an attorney and let him fight it for you.
