New Job Background Check

I am being subjected to a background check as part of the employment process for a new job. Back in December 2004 I was arrested on a misdemeanor aggrivated assault charge of a first aid worker (I had drank A LOT, suffered a severe head injury and after being taken to the hospital with a BAC of .29 was combative... never really hurt anyone but it is what it is). After 18 months of supervision the charge has been dismissed and I plan to get it expunged in another 20 months when it will have been a full 2 years since the dismissal. I was wondering if this charge would show up on a background check for my new job? I hope not but I suppose I will find out soon either way.
