Apartment bulding was forclosed that I have been renting, in Massachusetts

well the house got forclosed in the end of october

i did not pay rent for november or december

the new owner just contacted me two days ago, posted a notice adressed to "tenants of apt" since it is not my mailing address and they do not know my name

the notice said to call him or he is going to put new locks on all the doors and keep my stuff

this letter was posted on the door

well i havent called him yet but the guy that lives below me does, he called him before the first of december so the new landlord told him to leav e" or its gonna get ugly"


what should i do?

can he come and change the ock on my door and keep all my stuff like he says in the letter>?

and in the letter he says its just to see if the building is occupied

but then whn my neighbor called him he just said to leave in 30 days

i know i have to go, but i dont want to get evicted at the end of december so i can be moving on xmas and new years day

The foreclosure ended your old tenancy, and you haven't paid rent to start a new one. If you want to chance his not evicting you before Christmas by not calling, it's your life. But don't count on winning that bet.
