Absent father for over 10 years may want visitation or joint custody

Hey here is one for ya. My soon to be ex by default is a true blue fool. He is what I call an educated idiot. He is and has been out of our lives for many years.This Last segment was 11 years. Child support cannot locate him even with social and drivers license. When he did get a job with his social as soon as the system garnished wage he would shortly therafter quit. However, every blue moon he will call on private and the address is ofcoarse a secret. Even has a nerve to call from work as he says and one can hear. He as well is a 3 time looser in the court system and to date owes appox.over 25-$30,000 in back child support to the children we share. Tell me what may be the outcome of this terrible situation please?

As terrible as this may sound he has a legal right to see his child even though he owes thousands in support. Joint custody is not likley and if did seek that you would very likey have physical custody and with him requesting joint he will need to submit his address work and income status that could be a win win for you.

Thanks. I do appreciate the info. as hard as the truth is I kinda figured that. What about supervised visitaton is that an option especially since my 11 year old does not know him accept by voice alone?

Again I hate to disappoint you but there is no grounds for supervised visits. He has not been abusive or any other criteria for supervised vists. You could suggest you be there for first few so the children can get to know their Father but there is no reason to get supervised vists
