Speeding Ticket Hearing Scheduled During Officer's Vacation

Ok, first of all I was pulled over for speeding. 75 in a 55. I was clocked with the radar as I passed someone and was not speeding prior to passing and after the pass. The lady in front of me was doing 50mph so I put some gas on and passed her and then was pulled over about 1/2 mile after that.

I pleaded not guilty for trial. I asked for 45 days and was given a court date of Dec 22nd. The court called me and left a message on my machine stating the officer had a paid vacation during the time of my court date and they want me to reschedule. The officer informed the court she was going to be on vacation. I haven't called the clerk back yet, but here's my question. If I just show up on my shecduled court date, can they force me to reschedule or will I be able to get my ticket dismissed since the officer would not be present.

The court will give the state a continuance. It won't hurt to show up and try to get it dismissed or reduced.
