Drugs found during a search warrant

i lve in california, im a female i live by my self and came home one morning and found out the cops were in my aptartment. they found about an ounce of meth,scales,baggies. i guess they left a search warrent that i had a friend pick up from my home. its been 2 months since this happened, ive had no contact with the police and no arrest warrent has been issued. why havnt they come to arrest me?

Perhaps they're still investigating. Sometimes you can cut the best deals if you get a lawyer and try to negotiate before formal charges are filed, so consider getting a lawyer.

They are probably occasionally following you, going over records and paperwork that may have been taken during the search. Did they get any guns? They have up to a year to file charges. In most cases they will wait until within a month of the year being up to file. That way anymore trouble you get into during the next 12 months can be added to your case. Better start living right and get your act together!
