Unhappy Being charged for possession with intent to deliver

I am in the process of being charged with possession with intent to deliver 2000 hits of ecstasy in the state of Illinois. Which is a class x felony.

I gave consent to search the car. Admitted to the crime in my voluntary statement. I screwed myself big time.

Is there anything I can do now to help my situation? Will attending school and gettin a job help lighten my sentence? I've read of people paying fines or contributing to a drug fund to lessen their sentence. I know different states have different rules. Is there any way to get home arrest instead?

I screwed myself and pretty much didn't give me or my lawyer a fighting chance. WHAT CAN I DO?

If you are so inclined, you could talk to your lawyer about the possibility of trying to turn in your sources or others involved in drug trafficking in order to try to get a better deal.

Is there any alternatives besides that? Like paying fines and fees?

Does it being my first offense and having a clean record help in any way?

Thanks for your time and help.

You will be paying a fine and court costs if convicted, in addition to whatever other penalty the judge orders. Having no prior record helps; having 2,000 hits hurts.

So the only 2 options I have is to do my time or give someone up and still do time but with a lesser sentence?

    #1 - That's what happens if you're convicted.

#2 - That's a possibility. You have to explore whether it's even available to you.
