Exclamation Can I press charges?
6 months ago I was hanging out with a friend. He got drunk and wanted to drive to a another friend's house. I tried to keep him from driving and he ended up hitting me in the face. I didn't file with the police right away because he threatened me and told me that he would "ruin my life" if I did. Now, I'm fed up with him and want to press charges. I have filed a police report of the incident and I have pictures of my face to prove that it did in fact cause damage. Do I have enough to get charges pressed against him or has it been too long? I know that in Arkansas you have 1 year to file any incident report and press charges. I'm just wondering if I have enough to get him arrested and charges pressed. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

You have filed a police report. A prosecutor will review the report and decide if charges should be filed.
