Default Assault by minors
my 14 year old daughter got into a fight at school.
1.the girl she fought wasnt suppose to be on school grounds
2 the girl she fought had sent her a threating e mail to slash her throat
3 the school was made aware of the problem
4Basically the girl got in her face my daughter felt threated got up an fists flew. They both got suspended an charges were filed agasint each of them.My daughter got a assault charge an the other girl got a couple more. She has to go to juvenal court over the matter an was wondering what the punsihment is for such a thing? Also should a lawyer be present with her or just a parent? The state she lives in is north carolina.
Thanks

Default Re: Assault by minors
Try to get a free consultation with a lawyer who handles juvenile criminal defense. If your daughter doesn't have a record, she has a much better chance of getting probation or an otherwise favorable disposition without using a lawyer. If she has a record, tread carefully.
