    Default Being Taking Advantage Of

I was put on child support in 2001, when the judge awarded me to pay her only $56.00 a week she was enraged. After the ruling she informed me that she wanted to take me off child support, and I could start making payments to her directly, and here I thought she was doing me a favor because I was told that by being on child support it would prevent me from being a citizen, and since I’m not form here I beleived it. So she wrote a letter requesting to remove me off child support, I went with her and dropped it off , and she informed me that the judge granted her request, So I doubled check by calling the department of revenue, where she originally filed the case and they informed me that it was indeed canceled. so 4 years later I get a call from her private attorney telling me that I owed $14,000 in back child support for the child I never taken care of, AND ALL OF THIS TIME I'VE BEEN MAKING PAYMENTS TO HER DIRECTLY, I would put the money in her account, and since she moved to Georgia, and I live in Florida I would give it to the grandmother to put it in her account, and I always confirm if she received it.
furthermore her private attorney which I found out is really a collection agency called child support networks, is threatening to cancel my diver license and work visa/ passport, for a child that I’ve been taken care of since birth, I’ve already went to the court house and filed a motion for credit for payments made to her directly, and I have 2 reliable witnesses that can confirm that I would give her money. I’ve also begun making payments on the back child support to the Florida disbursement unit, and I was wondering is there anything else I can do because I believe that she is definitely committing some type of fraud.

This sounds like an excellent start to me.

Check with the agency which was supposed to be handling your support payments to see what proof they would accept of direct payment, and submit proof. Or get help from a lawyer to do the same thing, if possible, either with the agency or directly to the court.
