Default Forgery of Car Title by Girlfriend
hey all, got out of a bad relationship begining of last summer. i was forced to move out of my place by the police ( i am however facing no charges on any counts of anything, been to court, and all settled) when I was forced to leave i was in the middle of trying to sell my car, my now x-gf found the title to my car and signed it over for $100, kept the money and now threatens me with money I owe her saying shes taking me to court if i report this. Now ive all but had it with this girl and really would love to see her stuck with a forgery charge no matter the degree of the charge if possible. Do i have any chance of getting a forgery charge stuck on her record for somthing as minor as this? if so how much will i end up spending trying to get this on her record? I paid $300 for the car and put about $200 more into it. I was forced to sell it due to me having to leave my residence and at the time it was not running well. I had a no contact order between the 2 of us for the summer and court this fall which i have taken care of and as i said I have no charges being pressed and its all being droped so long as i am good for a year. (i have a clean record prior to this as well) any help appreciated. thanks

Default Re: WA state $100 car title signed and cash kept by gf,can i get her an offense?
If you want to file a police report, go right ahead. The police and prosecutor will determine if there's enough evidence to make a charge stick.
