Entitlement to w/c after quitting in Colorado

I injured my back at work, I work for a school district as a cook, I had to have a lumbar fusion L5-s1, had surgery, came back to work and I was treated like crap from my kitchen mgr. and co- workers and a it suddenly became an emotional rollercoaster ride. I think they wanted me to quit, I wouldn't give them the pleasure, anyho I was released by the OHS doc. on Sept. 19th 2006, one week later risk mgt. calls me and say's I no longer have a job cooking because they require I lift 28 pounds and my Doc. put me at 20, well I was mad and went and told the doc. and he said it was stupid and gave me a lifting test and i did 45 pounds, told risk mgt. and they reinstated me after 10 days and they took all my sick and personal time away so I"m at o and this past Monday the 16th I went to work and got another slap in the face from these people so I walked out, I didn't say I quit Ijust left. Real long story short, Am I still intitled to my benes?

If you mean in relation to lost wages, you should consult a worker's compensation lawyer about the possibility of trying to characterize this as a constructive termination. You should continue to receive your medical care, etc., consistent with your state's worker's comp laws.
