Lightbulb Will an Annulment Make a Bigamous Marriage Valid

My question involves a marriage in the state of: Philippines

i got married to an american citizen (2004)in the Philippines but my marriage with my first husband , isnt annulled yet! fortunately my husband #2 took me to a US base where he works. but we didnt work out so i ended up having an annulment again in the Philippines with husband #2, the thing is even though the marriage is null and void, the Philippine court said i should divorce husband #2 since our marriage happened 2yrs before my first marriage got annulled (2006). then im waiting for my decision to come out, but since the annulment case in the Philippines is slow, i got married again to husband #3, who is a US citizen too, in japan (2008); hoping the annulment with husband #2 will be over right away..until 2 yrs had passed thats when the annulment is over (2010)..The QUESTION is : (1) does my marriage with husband #3 legal in the Japanese or American Law since my marriage in husband #2 is null and void anyway although we didnt have the decision after 2 yrs! (2) can i go to the immigration to file for greencard and immigrant visa??? since they will definitely see the overlapping of the dates of my marriages and annulment! i dnt want to get in trouble with the law so i want to straighten things out right away!

Find a forum concerning law in those countries or consult with an attorney there.

So this question is fundamentally about immigration law?

Your bigamous marriages do not qualify you to immigrate into the U.S., and are not valid under U.S. law. Annulments will not retroactively render your bigamous marriages valid. Given your history of bigamous marriages, I suggest working with a U.S. immigration lawyer in relation to any plan to have your third "husband" sponsor you for an immigrant visa.

Buttercup, you are the stereotypical Filipino woman, gold digging and searching for an American soldier to marry so that you can get a green card. You give Filipino women a bad name. Try going through the U.S. embassy in the Philippines to get a green card. Once you get here there are many strip clubs you can start out at if your body still rates.
thank you sir for your harsh comment although you dont know me well, i didnt marry these men for the purpose of money, actually husband #2, im the one working just to help his finish his schooling and husband #3 is in deep financial trouble and he ended up putting all my jewlry in pawnshop and not paying me back! im not a stripper sir i hope your comment should be delted since its not even helping this conversation! ive got kids thats why ive decided to do whats best for my kids! I ve got a BS degree and about to study Masteral degree thats why i wanted to straighten up my documents so i can work and get a license! and In the Philippines i work as a Quality control assurance in a prestigious company before going to Japan because the salary in the Philippines isnt good! Shame on you for being racist and prejudiced about filipinos your the one who should be ashamed of your self for being dirty minded!

Just so you know.... LTVincent is a know-nothing who got his panties in a twist because we explained his state's laws to him and he apparently thinks we should have simply made up something that would have made him feel good even if it was complete nonsense, and has since been running around the forum making a horse's patootie of himself.

If all you want is a tourist visa, I suggest getting your marriage(s) in order - get down to one (or, if you prefer, zero) legal marriages - then be prepared to document sufficient ties to your nation of origin that the USCIS will accept that you will return home at the conclusion of your visit to the U.S.

Have you established U.S. citizenship for your children? If not, the multiple marriages / bigamy issue could again come up, and so if you intend to do that it would make sense to work with a lawyer.

thank you, its expensive getting a lawyer in Japan, theres an immigration lawyer in my mind to help me out when i get back to the Philippines, since its cheaper in there...my main purpose going to the US is just to meet my in laws and introduce the kids since they havent seen them at all ever since i gave birth to my twins! having a greencard is easy if i straightened things out, and working in the states is hard nowadays thats why i dnt consider staying there to pursue my career! we have tried in Japan the non-immigrant visa and they said i should apply for the immigrant visa since ive been married for few years with my husband #3. we consider to divorce in Japan to absolve our questionable marriage...i didnt wanted to get married with husband #3 but we haves kids, if ive known this will complicate this i shoulve had done otherwise!
