Default Not 100% Following Injury
My husband lost the tip of his finger, crushed between two steel beams at work, the company was great as far as workmans comp and any help we needed, but he has lost just above the fist knuckle, (he went back to work the next day or two after surgery) is he entitled to some kind of settlement because he does not have 100% use of it? I recall his doctor saying workmans comp would be contacting him about it, but they never have, should we proceed? We are in Georgia.

Default Georgia Workers' Compensation Benefits
Georgia has a schedule for compensation of certain injuries, including loss of a finger; I am not sure, though, if the loss of the tip of a finger qualifies. You would benefit from asking a workers' compensation lawyer, or inquiring with the State Board of Workers' Compensation, to learn your husband's rights under the law.
