I just started a personal check printing company. I want to use images from the web on the checks. I have emailed several owners, and they have all agreed to allow me to use the photos they took.

For my protection, do I have to get them to sign a release form, or is the email that they sent me sufficient proof if down the line they ask for damages and/or royalties (shudder!)?
