Arizona Uninsured and Underinsured Drivers

Is there such a thing as a compensation fund in Arizona for someone that is hit by an unisured motorist and does damage the other persons vehicle? I was hit by an unisured motorist and i didn't have unisured motorist insurance and i heard it throught the grapevine that a fund of this sort existed is this true?

Arizona apparently requires insurance agents to inform auto insurance customers of the availability of uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage. But I am not aware that they have any fund to pay for property damage caused by uninsured drivers. You would benefit from speaking to an auto accident lawyer in Arizona, as such a lawyer should know the answer to your question.
