Unemployment benefits

Hello,
I am being discharged from the Navy for popping positive on a drug test for Marijuana. I have been in for seven years and this is my second enlistment. I am a California resident. Am I eligable for unemployment benefits?

i believe that would be considered misconduct.

I seriously doubt it. But it can't hurt to apply. The worst that can happen is that you're turned down.

Don't count on it. The EDD will ask for a copy of your DD Form 214 to see why you were discharged and then it is all down hill from there.
