I live in Maitland Florida, my apartments are converting to condos. I've just recieved the purchase packet and have decided that I cannot afford to buy my unit "as-is", there was no offer to purchase one of the newly renovated units and the "as-is" price is well over $160K for a 2/1. I need to move but I need more time. I'm not sure I understand the "Rental Agreement Extension" in the Florida Statue, please help me.
I have a few more questions:
1. Do you automatically get the addition 270 days extension on your rental agreement once you give written notice. If not how are the days determined?
2. Do you still have the right to extend the rental agreement if you are not going to purchase the unit and have signed the Rejection Waiver Right to first purchase? are these tied together in any way?
3. If a rental agreement extension has been granted can the developer evict me or ask me to leave before the rental agreemnet extension time has been met?
4. is the developer obligated to abide by the statue?
