Question Avoiding a subpoena
I have been mairried 6 year and my husband is a good man and father. He has alway treating my good. We were going through a hard time, the first time in 6 years we have ever been apart. He came home one day and we got in a fight and he put his hands be my neck and shook me. I was mad that he acted that way and called the police to have them talk to him, I just wanted to stay away for awhile. The arrested him ( which I did not want or feel was just) and slammed a no contact order on us. They charged him with so much stuff and the police report in very incorrect. I don't want to go to court on this, they had tried to subpoena me 3 times but I don't go to the door. I'm hoping it will just get dropped. Can I get in trouble for not answering my door. I think the punishment for him for this is redickuless and unfare, he is not abusive at all and I don't want this to destroy us. What can happen to me.?

Default Re: Avoiding a subpoena
If you actually do avoid the subpoena, the prosecutor will have to decide whether to seek an adjournment to continue to try to serve you, to proceed to trial without your testimony, or to dismiss the charge.
