Evicting A Roommate, Not On The Lease, in Texas

I have been living in Austin, TX (Travis Co.) with my boyfriend for almost 3 years now in a house that I rent from a family friend. I lived in the same residence for 1.5 years before he moved in, so nothing is in his name (lease, utilities, etc. - even netflix is in my name). i pay all bills upfront, send him a spreadsheet "bill" and then he compensates me for half.

We haven't been getting along for some time and my repeated requests for him to move out have been ignored. I wanted to know what my rights are to get him removed from my residence. Since he isn't on the lease, is he considered my sub-tenet? If so, can i "serve" him with 30-day written notice to vacate the premises? In a nut shell, how can i legally get him out of my house ASAP?!?!?

He's paying you rent, so you will probably have to go through a standard eviction process - here's a brief guide.

I have a situation similar to Jenseny's except that the roommate was never asked to pay rent or bills, and so does not pay rent... basically a houseguest who won't leave.

Would I also need to file an eviction to remove this roommate?
