Accused of a Sexual Assault but No Charges Have Been Filed Yet

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Colorado

Hello, I was accused of a sexual assault that allegedly happened around 8 weeks ago and the accuser didnt file the complaint against me till 4 weeks ago. Ive been interviewed and turned over my cell phone to the police to analyze the provocative text messages my accuser was sending me post alleged incident. Its been over 2 weeks since any communication between the police and my lawyer. What is possibly going on?

they are gathering of 300 officers who will surround your house and at 3 am, over a bullhorn, demand you come out of the house so they can arrest you. Until they get all 300 officers rounded up, they are hanging out at Denny's enjoying Grand Slam breakfasts any time of the day.


seriously, they could be doing a lot of things. This is a wait and see situation.

Given the seriousness of the possible charge, it seems like a "consult a criminal defense lawyer while waiting to see what happens" situation.

It takes time to analyze the messages, evidence, etc. Remember the cops have other cases to work.....

I currently have a lawyer, the Investigators have cut off communication with her about the case since she tried to submit emails post alleged incident from the accuser to myself. Why wouldnt the want those emails?
