Father of 4 Month Old Arrested on Drug Charges

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Maryland

I had a baby boy 4 months ago. His father was in jail when he was born. He got out of jail when the baby was a month old. He has been in and out of jail and rehab his whole life. He signed the affidavit of parentage as the father when he got out of jail. I recently filed for sole custody and child support. 2 weeks after I filed, my son's father was arrested on new drug charges. We live about 2 hours away from each other. I do NOT trust him enough to not be high on drugs and will not let our son be alone with him. So, I told him he has to meet us in a public place if he wants to see him. He apparently is going to fight me for shared custody. Is it possible they would give him shared custody of our 4 month old?
