Can't Get License Reinstated with Pending Court Date

My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: Illinois
I was caught driving with my license suspended in June 27 because of DUI BENCH warrant from 2007 after doing two weeks in jail I was released time served. I then went to court because I was caught driving on the 27th with the suspended license. The judge told me that I could get ten days in jail or 240 hours community service or come back with a license the next court date September 19. I went to DMV paid the reinstatement fee and got my license reinstated. Today I received I License that I was going to get it revoked again on the 30 of August for the same DUI and in order to reinstate it I have do a hearing at the DMV but they cant give me a hearing if I have any pending court cases. My question is what will the judge do? Is she going to dismiss the case so I can get my license or give me 240 hours community service? Should I have a Lawyer? What can a lawyer do? Is there anything I can do on my own?

All you can do is your best - and that may mean documenting all of the steps you've taken to the court along with the date of your scheduled administrative hearing and hoping that's enough to satisfy the court. It would not be a bad idea to consult a lawyer.

That's because you had the warrant for the DUI, but no proof of completing the conditions required in order to satisfy the DUI. But , were conviced of the DUI or did the warrant accur becaause you failed to appear prior to the disposition? If you were ordered to complete treatment, did you? Do you have prrof of completing the DUI conditions. All you have left is the letter informing the court of your efforts and the fact that the pending DSL charge prevents you from gettin the hearing. If this is Cook Co., I expect you to get the 10 days.

No I didn't complete them, back then I was pretty much an alcoholic and didnt care about anything. I sobered up and haven't had a drink since 2009. If they do give me ten days will that be 5 days with good behavior? This is in Bridgeview

Yes. The case is old and Cook likes to get those off call. It'll be up to the judge of course, but that's usually what I see.

Thanks viol8te, so basically I'm really broke right now because of this I haven't been able to get a good job., I only have my bond slip for 900. If you viol8te or anyone else can recommend a great lawyer that has experience with this and can accept the bond slip as the fee and counsel me and be my lawyer on September 19 . (This DUI is the only thing on my record right now, I'm trying not to have another misdemeanor.
